Our old workplace in the showroom was an old counter full of tools, which caused unrest and gave it a cluttered appearance. The goal was to realize an improved workplace for a small budget, which quietly disappears in our shop design.

Work description: how did you realize your project

We bought an old white Bruynzeel kitchen from 1995 and painted it matte black. At opmaatzagen.nl we have ordered a beautiful worktop 40 mm Multiplex Okoume waterproof of 2300 mm x 670 mm. We colored these with a scratch-resistant transparent interior lacquer and installed them at an ideal height for our work on piano mechanisms. We placed a sheet of 9.5mm plywood 1800mm x 600mm over the kitchen unit to cover the drawers and cabinets. Above that 4 beams 40mm x 95mm, and on top of that our 40mm worktop. Everything screwed on from below and mounted with extra glue. This way we have a very solid worktop at our ideal working height! Final size: What are the outer dimensions?

Our kitchen unit is 180.0 cm x 60.0 cm. We have chosen to let the worktop protrude 7.0 cm so that we can bend well over the mechanisms. The outer leaf is 230.0 cm x 67.0 cm.
