Packaging and delivery
Custom packaging
Packaging custom-made timber and sheet materials is anything but standard. We ship over 100,000 sawn panels a year and are just as skilled at packing as we are at sawing. Our online shop automatically determines the correct shipping and packing method based on dimensions, weight and quantities. Your order is then prepared for delivery — always packed to your exact specifications and, where possible, using recyclable materials.
DPD – small parcels
Every order is dispatched as a parcel in a custom-made box, with protective material and cardboard padding to prevent items from shifting. The result of extensive testing: many parcels per week with a very low damage rate.
Courier Service Van de Hoef Logistiek – other Orders
Orders containing long items or items in multiple sizes are dispatched via a specialist courier service. We offer three packaging options:
- In a custom-made cardboard box.
- On specially designed trolleys — the trolley serves as the packaging and is emptied during unloading.
- On an eco-pallet for single-use transport.
- Have you ordered large panels? If so, we would kindly ask you to help the driver unload them.
Van de Hoef Logistiek courier service – with a TOSIZE Furniture cabinet
Depending on the weight and length of the longest panel, each cabinet is delivered on a trolley or pallet to the first threshold on the ground floor. Depending on the design, your cabinet will arrive as a flat-pack in one or more boxes, or neatly stacked on an eco-pallet for single-journey transport.
Delivery terms by carrier/product
The online shop automatically selects the delivery time and carrier based on the contents of your order. The following applies to all orders: You will receive a dispatch confirmation as soon as the order has been handed over to the carrier.
DPD – small parcels
- Delivery to the first threshold on the ground floor, in one or more boxes.
- Not at home? The parcel will be delivered again or taken to a collection point.
- Changing the delivery date or giving permission for the parcel to be left depends on the options available in your area. If you are able to do so, you can do this via the DPD track-and-trace link.
Van de Hoef Logistics – other orders
- Delivery to the first threshold on the ground floor, on a trolley or pallet. Items on a trolley will be delivered loose.
- Delivery will be made as far as a pallet truck or trolley can reach.
- Placement authorization is not possible; someone must be home to receive the delivery. Our delivery team is coming specifically for you!
