Transform your garden shed with a DIY kitchen
Welcome to the world of customization and creativity! Rick has transformed his garden shed with a beautiful, custom-made kitchen, perfect for anyone looking for a unique outdoor experience. Let's take a look at all the details of this impressive project.
A Functional Kitchen in Your Garden House
The goal of this project was to create a functional kitchen in a garden shed. Not only for cooking, but also as a cozy place to relax. The sturdy countertop offers ample space for preparing dishes, and the additional cabinets provide ample storage for utensils.
Materials and Design
The use of OSB panels for the walls gives the kitchen a robust and natural look. The countertop, made of a beautifully crafted pine panel, perfectly complements the white cabinets and adds a warm atmosphere to the space.
Perfectly Placed
The kitchen is located in a garden shed, making it ideal for summer barbecues or even as a shelter on rainy days. The windows let in plenty of natural light, making the space even more inviting.
Unique Design with Customization by TOSIZE.be
Thanks to the custom-cut wood from TOSIZE.be, Rick could create his kitchen exactly how he wanted. The freedom to choose the dimensions and materials himself gives him a sense of satisfaction and personal style.
Scandinavian Style
The whole design exudes a Scandinavian feel: simplicity, functionality, and a connection to nature. This makes the kitchen not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing.
Used Wood Types
OSB 3: This material is ideal for structural applications, offering stability and a raw, modern look. It's perfect for the walls of a garden shed.
Timberboard Pine dark: This wood type gives a warm, natural look to the worktop and is ideal for indoor environments thanks to its durability and colour.
DIY tips
When assembling cabinets, always use a spirit level to ensure they are level and stable. This prevents problems later on with doors that don't close properly.

Step by step guide
Preparation
- Measure the length and width of the wall. If there's a window, you'll need several measurements. Do you still have old kitchen cabinets? Then cut one straight piece and measure the width, adding 2 cm. Measure the depth and add 4 cm.
Montage
- First, mount the panels to the wall. Then, place the kitchen cabinets against the wall. Sand the countertop smooth and apply a coat of paint or oil. Then, place the countertops on the kitchen cabinets and screw them in place.
