Create your own custom-designed furniture by having wood and sheet materials cut to size by TOSIZE.be. This homemade AV furniture is a result of such an approach! The project started with an idea, developed in AutoCAD, and custom cut by TOSIZE.be. This HIFI AV furniture is realized with plywood and MDF, making the design sturdy and compact. Additionally, this AV furniture can be easily moved around thanks to the mounted wheels. The custom-made furniture is completed with a push-to-open drawer and flap system. A piece of furniture to be proud of!

Made a new AV furniture for a philosophy club, which - when not in use - has a beautiful closed form and is very practical and organized in use.

How I Made This Project

First, designed in CAD software and created a rendering, also depicted in the existing environment for promotion and approval. Then, ordered wood from TOSIZE.be (2018). Next, assembled the parts and then mounted the whole. Tried out a lot with the BLUM drawer runners (push-to-open & soft close) and with the flap hinges (also with push to open). During construction, made a few changes because it turned out to work better in practice if some adjustments were made. Finished entirely in white.

Very enjoyable task with a lot of puzzling about how things work (the drawer runners and the special hinges).
