Very easy
1 minuut
Frank has converted the base of an IKEA piece of furniture into a cool and trendy item. In this way, it becomes a sturdy piece of furniture that is very easy to assemble.
Children's Desk, by Frank
For our son, I made a sleek and natural-looking desk from birch MDF cut at a 45-degree angle, 27mm thick. Then, it was treated with interior stain so he can play with/use it for a long time.
How I made this project
Ordered the wood and had it cut at an angle when ordered. Corner profiles under the desk part for strength and so that there are no screw holes visible on the outside. The base is the IKEA Smastad desk. Entirely treated with clear interior stain. Assembled the desk together with my father. First, think carefully about how to assemble it. The horizontal plank has a slight curvature, so a cover strip was applied. A beautiful project that our son will enjoy a lot.
