Description by Judith

We have made a fixed bedside table, which has extra storage space attached to it. We made two inner cupboards from chipboard. For left and right of the bed. That is why we made side walls and a top from remnants of spruce and oak. We ordered a beautiful carpentry panel in spruce 18 mm from TOSIZE.be. We made the doors from this. We painted everything matt white and finished it with white T handles. Looks beautiful in our white bedroom!

How I made this project

First made an interior from plasticized chipboard (was already white). Then side walls and a bottom rail made from leftover oak wood that we still had. The top is made of 28 mm thick spruce. The doors are made of 18 mm thick pine wood panel. Mounted with Hettich hinges for which we used a drilling jig. This way the doors close softly. We primed the doors twice and painted them once in white matt. We have provided the doors with T handles. On the inside of the doors we made slats of 18 mm thick x 25 mm thick, to prevent any warping of the doors.

Dimensions of my DIY project

Links 1 door of 68.0 cm wide
Right 3 doors of 43.0 cm wide
Height 60.0 cm
